Welcome to our Sanctuary, we Praise God here each Sunday Morning and enjoy meeting new people who are looking for a New Church Family or looking for God for the first time. We know that you can find God here, as well as a good, warm and friendly family of Christ.

Here at St. John's, we welcome the old with the new and are integrating old ideas with the new ones. Come, young and old or young at heart and join us as we Worship God however he leads us.

This Web site is just one of the ways he is leading us to worship him that is new and exciting. We are integrating the new technologies of the computer age, our new Web site, with the age old Story of Jesus and his Love. Come, hear and receive the knowledge of The Saving Grace, of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Project Independence

Project Independence is a program sponsored
by GUM. (Greensboro Urban Ministry)
It helps women who want to get off the welfare
roll. They help in finding jobs and child-care.
Circle 2 has been bringing items that are not
available with food stamps. They can use paper
products such as paper towels, tissues, toilet
tissue, hand soap, dishwashing detergent,
laundry detergent, deodorant, toothpaste and
feminine products. There is a box in the
pantry for your donations. Thank you.

someone else the information they might need
for validation of their beliefs.

Alternative Gift Market

Instead of a gift certificate to the mall, give a gift to help make the world a better place. Heifer Project International (HPI) animals and cards along with Greensboro Urban Ministry (GUM) cards will be available each Sunday of Advent.

For many years we have helped people locally (GUM) and others in faraway places (HPI).

A Christmas tree will be placed in the Narthex for your card to the congregation. Your name will be listed in the bulletin. This is a wonderful way to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and help someone in need.

Your Mission Committee

The WFNS is held on the third Wednesday
of every month. Dinner is served at 6:15p.m.
Our programs will begin at 7:00p.m.
Some one will be in the Nursery.
The cost for the dinner is $3.00 for adults,
$1.50 for ages 6-12, and under 6 eat free.
We ask that reservations be made, so we can
have an accurate count. Submit reservations
by the Sunday before. Please contact:
Marie Bilbro at the church office @ 299-3866,
or place a reservation form in the offering plate.
